Homeschooling - General - Inspirational Sites/Blogs
Finding inspiration can be so helpful sometimes. This will be where that can happen. Browse through some great ideas and activities others have done. Also there may be some inspirational words of wisdom thrown in somewhere here. I now many homeschooling families don't blog, but blogging or at least following blogs can be extremely helpful. Through this activity I find support, ideas, gain and share knowledge and find out about activities online for my kids that I would never have known about if I didn't blog. So, if you blog or not, this spot could be for you to find the inspiration or help that you need by reading about others who homeschool.
HomeSchooling Garden
This is a homeschool family from the UK. They share activities they do and many of the activities are for the very young. What a great place to find ideas, even if it's just to distract a younger sibling.
Homeschooling Freedom
I almost put this in the Roadschooling section, just because it is a way to gain the freedom of travel, any time of year. This is a site to help homeschooling families find support and ideas on how to start their own businesses so that they can gain the freedom to homeschool or to be more involved in their homeschooling.
Learners At Home
This family shares their homeschooling experience, using real books instead of text books.
Let's Lasso The Moon
This is a blog that is about living simply, creativity and parenting. It's been an inspiration for me.
Links to All Things Free for Homeschoolers
This is a blog that is an up-to date information site letting homeschoolers know what is available for free. There are sometimes free contests online where you can get free material/books etc. Sometimes there are things that are discovered that are always free and this blog lets you know!
The Homeschool Mom
Great Resource
The Magic Onions
This is a Waldorf inspired blog. There are great handy crafts here and ideas that follow along with the Waldorf homeschooling philosophy.
You're Not Lost, You're Here!
A great blog for families with older kids/teens who homeschool. AND if you want to learn about hooping, this is the place to check it out!!
Unauthorized Dad Handbook
This is the best article I've ever read on Dads and homeschooling. This is on a blog called The Parenting Pit. This article is great, especially if you lean toward an unschooling and your husband isn't completely on board. Definitely worth a read!
